Itinerary

Hotel Pick-up or Meeting Your Guide: We’ll pick you up from your hotel, and you can grab a coffee or breakfast on the way. Alternatively, you can choose to meet your guide directly at Tenorio Volcano National Park.

Llanos de Cortes Waterfall

We’ll kick off the day with a visit to Llanos de Cortes Waterfall in Bagaces. Here, you can relax, swim beneath the falls, or explore the surrounding flora and fauna.

  • Upon reaching the park’s entrance, embark on a moderately challenging 2-hour hike. Along the trail, you’ll journey through the rainforest and follow the Celeste River, where you’ll witness one of nature’s most captivating phenomena.
  • After this incredible sight, the hike continues to where two streams converge, transforming clear water into the divine turquoise shade of Rio Celeste. This stunning transformation, caused by volcanic minerals, is a sight to behold and is unique to this location.
  • Keep an eye out for sloths and other wildlife along the way. This hike offers both a great workout and unforgettable experiences in one of Costa Rica’s hidden gems.
Costa Rican Lunch

After the hike, we’ll stop at a local restaurant for a hearty Costa Rican-style lunch.
